HPPSC postpones HP forest service prelims exam 2025 to October 5 due to bad weather conditions

HPPSC: The HP Forest Service (ACF) prelims exams 2025 have been postponed keeping in mind the safety of candidates.

The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has postponed the HP Forest Service Preliminary (ACF) Examination 2025 to October 5 due to bad weather conditions in the state. The HP Forest Service (ACF) prelims exams have been postponed, keeping in mind the safety of candidates.

The HP Forest Service (ACF) Preliminary Exam 2025 was previously scheduled for September 9. The state is currently grappling with a horrific disaster due to bad weather conditions.

“Himachal Pradesh Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination-2025 was fixed for September 7. It is for the information of all concerned that the HP Public Service Commission has decided to postpone the aforesaid examination to October 5 (tentatively) due to inclement weather conditions,” the official HPPSC notice reads.

HP Forest Service Preliminary Exam 2025

Himachal Pradesh chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said the state is currently grappling with a catastrophic disaster, and due to these circumstances, appearing for the HP Forest Service Preliminary (ACF) Examination 2025 becomes extremely challenging for the candidates preparing for it.

CM further said he received several messages through social media and other mediums wherein students demanded to postpone the exam.

“Keeping in mind your sentiments and difficulties, it has been decided to postpone the examination and conduct it on a later date. I sincerely respect the hard work, dedication, and sentiments of all of you. I request that you continue with your preparation,” CM posted on the official X account.

Furthermore, Shimla deputy commissioner Anupam Kashyap has also announced the closure of all government and private educational institutes, including schools, colleges, polytechnics, coaching centres, anganwadi centres, and ITIs under the Disaster Management Act due to heavy rainfall in the state.
