NEW DELHI: The University of Hyderabad (UoH) has achieved a ranking among the top 12 percent of universities worldwide for international students. This recognition comes from the Study Abroad Aide (SAA) world rankings for the best-value universities for international students in 2024. UoH is also noted as one of the best-ranked universities in India in these rankings.
SAA evaluated 3,349 higher educational institutions across 20 Asian countries, placing the Hyderabad University in the top 12% of universities in Asia. This comprehensive assessment underscores UoH’s commitment to providing high-quality and affordable education to international students, the university said.
Database collected from UoH
The SAA database team collected and analysed a wide array of information from the UoH to ensure an accurate and reliable ranking. The data collected from UoH includes the official university website, location, university type, admission page, tuition fee, required English proficiency test score, and the variety of courses offered for bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
The evaluation criteria from SAA focused on UoH's reputation, international student body, total enrollment, and specific ranking categories such as best universities, most affordable universities, and best value universities.
Reacting to the rankings, BJ Rao, vice chancellor of UoH, expressed his satisfaction and pride. "Affordability and quality of education have been positive outcomes for the university. We are happy at being ranked among the top 12% in Asia, and we will make efforts to do our best to be the first choice for international students in India. This recognition reflects UoH’s ongoing efforts to enhance its educational offerings and support a diverse student body," he stated.
