ICAI hosts 3-day orientation programme AIMCMM 2025 to strengthen leadership, governance

NEW DELHI: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) organised a three-day orientation programme for the All India Managing Committee Members Meet (AIMCMM 2025). Themed at ‘VISHWASNIYA’, the event was attended by over 1,400 regional council members who shared insights into ICAI’s functioning, governance and strategic vision, as per the official statement.
PP Chaudhary, member of parliament (Lok Sabha), chairperson, JPC-One National One Election and former union mister of state, inaugurated the event. Managing committee members, convenors and deputy convenors of CPE study circles and chapters also took part in the programme.
Chaudhary said: “ ICAI has been the backbone of our nation’s financial ecosystem, ensuring transparency, compliance and economic growth. Chartered Accountants are more than just financial experts; they serve as facilitators for wealth creators, playing a crucial role in driving economic growth. The role of Chartered Accounts is very crucial for making India a Viksit Bharat.”
The event was hosted from March 21 to 23 and during the course of three days, the council members of ICAI provided guidance on strengthening compliance, following professional ethics and aligning branch activities with ICAI’s “nation-first” approach, the institute said.
“This year’s theme, VISHWASNIYA, resonates with our profession and our unwavering commitment to a developed India. We are a strong community of over 14 lakh members and students, dedicated to nation-building,” Charanjot Singh Nanda , president, ICAI said.
AIMCMM 2025: 'VISHWASNIYA'
New technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), IoT (Internet of Things), blockchain, data science, cybersecurity and information security is the need of the hour to be “future-ready in this global dynamic business landscape," Nanda said.
“AI in ICAI to skill and explore new professional avenues. AIMCMM 2025 serves as a unique platform to empower leaders of the profession, enabling them to drive the growth of the profession,” he added.
The AIMCMM 2025 is centered around the vision of Nanda, who described the theme ‘VISHWASNIYA,’ a trusted partner contribution to India’s economic growth, the institute added.
Sharing the objective of the AIMCMM 2025, CA Prasanna Kumar D, vice-president of ICAI, said: “AIMCMM 2025 is a key initiative to strengthen ICAI’s leadership and governance. With a huge attendance, making it the largest edition so far, the event equips regional and branch leaders with the vision and knowledge to uphold the profession’s integrity. ICAI focus remains on digital transformation, transparency and skilling the professionals, reinforcing its vital role in the evolving financial landscape. The rollout of the ERP system will further streamline accounting and compliance, enhancing overall efficiency.”
The institute further said that the theme ‘VISHWANIYA’ will steer the institute towards transformation advancements through the following commitments.
