IGNOU invites application for Business Plan Competition 2024 till April 30

IGNOU will give Rs 7,000, Rs 5,000 and Rs 3,000 cash prizes to the top three business plans, respectively.
NEW DELHI: Indira Gandhi National Open University’s (IGNOU) Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) is organising a Business Plan Competition 2024 for university students and alumni. Students can apply for the IGNOU-IIC Business Plan Competition 2024 till April 30. The contest is being conducted to empower students and alumni to translate their innovative ideas.
IGNOU is organising the competition in line with the union government’s vision of Viksit Bharat@2047. The entries in the contest should focus on the Atmanirbhar Bharat project aiming at promoting, supporting and nurturing the startup culture in the country.
The competition is open to all the students and alumni of IGNOU who have designed and developed a prototype of an innovative business plan for starting a business or startup based on new, socially relevant and practicable business ideas.
The IGNOU will award the top three business plans with the Best Business Plan Award 2024. The winner of first, second and third prizes will be awarded certificates, mementos and cash prizes of Rs 7,000, Rs 5,000 and Rs 3,000, respectively. The winners will also get incubation opportunities and mentoring support.

Applicants can submit entries on these topics:
- Food, agriculture and rural development
- Clean energy and alternate fuel
- Clean water and water management
- Environmental issues and waste management
- Swachchhata initiatives, healthcare, hygiene, lifestyle and sports
- Smart transportation and traffic management
- Smart city and urban development
- Social issues and security system
- Scientific and technological developments
- Education and online teaching-learning system
Interested students and alumni of IGNOU can submit their business plan on this form. After filling the form applicants have to send it on the email, ncide@iqnou.ac.in.
