IGNOU relaxes admission criteria for MBA Banking and Finance

Candidates who have passed a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks will be eligible for IGNOU’s MBA Banking and Finance.
NEW DELHI: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has relaxed the admission criteria for MBA Banking and Finance programme. The IGNOU has revised the admission process by removing the requirements of CAIIB certification and 2 years experience in banking and financial sector.
The candidates who have passed a bachelor's degree of minimum three-year duration with a minimum of 50 percent marks (45% for candidates belonging to reserved categories) will now be eligible for the programme.
The eligibility foradmission to MBA Banking and Finance has been revised. Now no need for Banking experience and no need for CAIIB.

The IGNOU’s School of Management Studies offers a two-year degree MBA Banking and Finance programme. The programme is delivered through open and distance learning mode. It was developed and launched through an agreement between the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF) and the IGNOU to provide a post-graduate academic qualification in banking and finance area.
The university aims to meet the aspirations of prospective candidates who wish to acquire a post graduate degree in banking and finance by liberalising the eligibility criteria.

Interested candidates can seek the admission through the Samarth portal ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
The university has extended the deadline for admission and re-registration for the July 2023 session till July 31. Candidates can register for the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) programmes on the official portal – ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in and online programmes at ignouiop.samarth.edu.in.
It has also announced the launch of a new postgraduate diploma in services management programme from the July 2023 academic session.
