IIM Ahmedabad reports 100% placement across 30 PGP cohorts; Boston Consulting Group top recruiter

IIM Ahmedabad Placements 2025: Consumer tech offers rise by 800%, Goldman Sachs leads in investment banking.
NEW DELHI : Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad has reportedly placed all its students across 30 cohorts as it announced the completion of its final placement process for the postgraduate programmes in management (PGP) class of 2025.
The IIM-A placement process began with lateral placements held from January 2 to 21, and offered students having prior work experience middle and senior management roles. The final placement followed next which were grouped based on their business and industry profile.
Boston Consulting Group emerged as the top recruiter with 35 offers, followed by Accenture Strategy with 30 offers.
Additionally, students were provided with an opportunity to make ‘dream’ applications to firms of their choice in subsequent clusters, even with an in-hand offer. Dream applications are meant to allow students to apply for a job that aligns with their aspirations. There was a 16% increase in the dreamer’s applicants cycle as compared to the previous year

In the investment banking sector, Goldman Sachs led with nine offers followed by Avendus Capital with seven. Tata Administrative Services dominated the general management sector with five offers, followed by GMR Group with four.
The IIM Ahmedabad placement season witnessed a significant growth across various sectors, with consumer tech seeing an 800% increase in offers, followed by retail (400%), and cards and financial advisory (300%). Fintech offers also increased by 40%.
In lateral placement, FinIQ Consulting made the highest number of offers at 11, closely followed by Navi with 10 offers.
Viswanath Pingali the chairperson of the placement committee at IIM Ahmedabad , said: “Amidst the current volatile state of the geopolitical environment, we expected strong headwinds for this year's placement season. However, corporates showed faith in IIMA as usual. …Variety of firms and roles offered are testaments to the quality of students at IIMA, as well as the faith the recruiters have in our institute and its students.”
