IIM Bangalore 49th Convocation Ceremony: Degrees awarded to 706 students

IIM Bangalore Convocation 2024: Gold medals were awarded to eight students including three females.
NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM Bangalore) conducted its 49th convocation ceremony on April 6. A total of 706 degrees were awarded to the students from various programmes. This year, IIM Bangalore introduced the Institute Research Award for a graduating student of the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme, which comprises a monetary reward of Rs 1.75 lakh, a certificate, and a memento. Bibek Bhattacharya, a PhD student in the Strategy area of the graduating batch, won the Institute Research Award.
Devi Shetty, chairperson of the board of governors at IIM Bangalore, commended the Institute for its outstanding national and global rankings, among other achievements. Speaking about IIMB’s digital learning initiative IIMBx, he said, “IIMBx’s offering on Hospital Management is going to be a boon for the country since it is designed for participants to be equipped for the future healthcare industry in India, enabling them to administer hospitals in a smooth and efficient manner.”

IIM Bangalore has honored eight students, including three women, with gold medals. In the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) 2022-2024, Anant Ashutosh Sharma obtained the first position, with Aditya Nishith Shah securing the second spot. Jayant Ramchandra Yadav was recognized as the gold medalist for best all-round performance across the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) and Post Graduate Programme in Business Analytics (PGP-BA) 2022-2024 combined. Hemakshi Janyani topped the rankings in the Post Graduate Programme in Business Analytics (PGP-BA) 2022-2024.
In the Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP) 2023-2024, Renu Chaubey secured the first position, while Velamuri Sai Yaswanth emerged as the best all round performer. P Govind N Shenoy claimed the top position in the Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management (PGPEM) 2022-2024, with Rawat Megha Vijay Singh recognized as the best all round performer.
