The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) has launched two undergraduate programmes – BSc Honours in Economics with a minor in data science and business and BSc (Hons) in Data Science with a minor in Economics and Business. The announcement was made during a press conference at its Bannerghatta Road campus.

The undergraduate (UG) courses have been launched under the umbrella of the School of Multidisciplinary Studies. IIM Bangalore said that the four-year residential programmes have been designed in accordance with the National Educational Policy (NEP) and will be delivered at the institute’s upcoming campus in Jigani, which is located around 27 kilometers from its main campus.

The curriculum will integrate economics, data science, philosophy, communication, and ethics, with a flavor of business education, to establish a strong application-based orientation, it said.

The UG programmes includes two internship cycles – an international exchange term offering and a curriculum grounded in context sensitivity, individual transformation, and life competencies. Students will also be provided with an option for a three-year exit with a degree.
