IIM Bangalore opens PGPEM admission 2025 through CAT, GMAT, GRE; IIMB test on October 12, February 1

Indian Institute of Management Bangalore has announced the admission process for the Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management (PGPEM) for the academic year 2026. The IIMB Test is scheduled to be conducted by the institute twice a year, on October 12 and February 1.

IIM Bangalore offers the two-year PGPEM weekend programmes for working professionals leading up to a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. The institute conducts its own entrance exam for shortlisting candidates for the weekend programme.

Besides the IIMB test, candidates with a valid score in the Common Admission Test (CAT), Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) will also be eligible for PGPEM admission.

IIM Bangalore PGPEM eligibility

As per the eligibility criteria, candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). Reserved category candidates such as SC, ST, and PwD should have at least 45% marks in the qualifying exam.

Applicants should have a minimum of 6 years of full-time work experience as on March 31, 2026. Part-time work or internship done during a programme of study will not be considered as work experience.

Those who do not have a bachelor’s degree, but have completed their CA, ICWA, CS after Class 12 will also be eligible for admission. The qualifying marks in these exams remain at 50% for general and 45% for reserved categories.

IIMB Test 2025: Fee details

Candidates applying for IIM Bangalore PGP entrance test are required to submit their application and pay a requisite registration fee.

Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs 1,500 and an entrance exam fee of Rs 1,200.

IIM Bangalore application and admission process

The last date to apply for IIM Bangalore test 1 is October 8. The application form for IIMB test round 2 will be available from October 10 to January 20.

While filing the IIM Bangalore PGPEM application form, candidates are required to upload the following documents.

• SSC, HSC and bachelor’s degree
• Bachelor’s degree certificate
• GMAT/GRE scorecard, if applicable
• Statement of purpose (indicating your achievements and future goals)
• Work experience letters / first and last payslips (indicating the date of joining)
• SC/ST/NC-OBC/EWS certificate, if applicable
• Relevant disability certificate for persons with disability (PwD).

It is mandatory for candidates to submit two reference letters. One reference should be preferably from the current employer or from an individual who is able to evaluate your job performance. “References will have to be submitted online by the referees directly on or before the stipulated last date for submission of application,” it clarified.

IIM Bangalore will shortlist candidates based on their scores obtained in the entrance exams. In stage 2, selected candidates will have to appear for an interview round. For round 1, interviews will be conducted on November 8 and 9 and round 2 will be held on February 14 and 15.
