IIM Calcutta MBA Summer Placements 2025: Highest salary at Rs 6 lakh per month; offers, average stipend dip

IIM Calcutta Summer Placement 2025: The number of recruiters rose from 175 to 183, reflecting increased participation, while the total number of offers slightly dipped from 564 to 510.
The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta) has recorded 100% summer placements for the 62nd batch of its flagship MBA programme. This year’s placement saw an increase in recruiters, however, the number of offers slightly dropped.
The IIM Calcutta summer placements concluded on October 17, with 470 students securing 510 offers. The placement drive was conducted in hybrid mode where 183 recruiters offered multiple cross functional roles.
The average monthly stipend was Rs 1.85 lakh, while the medium salary stood at Rs 2 lakh per month. The highest domestic salary offered to students was Rs 4.5 lakh per month and international package stood at Rs 6 lakh per month.
The top 5 percentile of the students secured a monthly stipend of Rs 3.4 lakh per month.
“The cluster-cohort placement process that involved various policies such as “dream offer” ensured a better student-recruiter fit, making the overall process a win-win for both recruiters and students,” the institute said.

IIM Calcutta Placements: Highlights
Compared to last year’s summer placements for MBA , the number of recruiters rose from 175 to 183, reflecting an increased participation, while the total number of offers slightly dipped from 564 to 510.
Like previous years, IIM Calcutta witnessed participation of firms from all major sectors like Consulting, Finance, FMCG, Manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals, Software and Technology, among others, the institute said.
“While the institute saw strong support from its legacy recruiters, several domestic and global firms participated as first-time recruiters. The alumni base and network of the institute continued to provide endurance to the placement process,” it added.
