The Indian Institute of Management Raipur (IIM Raipur) held a meeting with the delegations of the Singapore Government, and discussed ways to bring in joint courses with the latter’s universities. NIT Raipur and IIT Bhilai also joined the discussion to expand international student exchange programmes.
The meeting was conducted during the 60th anniversary celebration of Singapore-India diplomatic relations, aimed at strengthening cooperation in the areas of education, innovation and skill development.
Jerome Wong, consulate, consulate-general of the Republic of Singapore and Ericka, were engaged in a joint dialogue with senior institutional leaders of IIM Raipur, IIT Bhilai and NIT Raipur.

The Government of Chhattisgarh and Government of Singapore also held talks to explore possibilities of collaboration between institutions located in Chhattisgarh and Singapore, including universities, industries, and policy bodies, the statement added.
“By combining India’s innovation-driven educational institutions with Singapore’s expertise in skill-oriented pedagogy and research, the initiative aims to create globally relevant programs that prepare students for the future,” as per the official statement.
Other institutional leaders present at the meeting includes Sanjeev Prashar, Director-In-Charge, IIM Raipur, Rajiv Prakash, director, IIT Bhilai, NV Ramana Rao, director, NIT Raipur, Ajit Bhatpahri, GM-CSTDC, Sumeet Gupta, IIM Raipur, and Anuj Shukla, NIT Raipur.
