IIMC invites applications for MA programmes, admissions through CUET PG scores

Candidates can apply for the MA programmes in Media Business Studies and Strategic Communications before June 15.
Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), Delhi, is inviting applications for admission to its two-year MA programmes in Media Business Studies and Strategic Communications. Candidates with valid CUET PG 2025 scores can apply for both the programmes on its official website at iimc.gov.in.
The deadline to apply for MA programmes at
IIMC
is June 15, 2025. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree or are appearing in the final year exam of their UG course are eligible to apply for the courses.
Notably, applicants with valid
Common University Entrance Test Post Graduate
(CUET PG) scores in management, economics, commerce, and political science are also eligible to apply for the MA in media business studies and strategic communications.
Both programmes at IIMC have 40 seats each, including eight supernumerary seats for working professionals and other categories.
“The fee of the programmes for two years is Rs 2,82,000. Candidates need to pay Rs 79,000, the first semester fee, at the time of admission,” according to the official notice.

The registration fee for applying to the MA in media business and strategic communications for general category candidates is Rs 1,500, while for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Other Backward Castes (OC), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Physically handicapped (PH) applicants, the requisite registration fee is Rs 1,000.
Applicants with Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university in any discipline with at least 55% marks or 5.5 CGPA can apply for both the MA programmes.
Candidates seeking admission to MA in media business studies should have a valid CUET PG scores in mass communication and journalism, general management, economics and commerce.
On the other hand, applicants filling the admission form for MA in strategic communication, should have a CUET PG scores in mass communication and journalism, and political science.
The institute will short list the candidates for admission on the basis of CUET PG score and interview.
“Under the supernumerary quota, the Indian Armed Forces personnel and media professionals with at least ten-year experience can apply without a CUET score. Their selection under supernumerary quota will be done on the basis of interview,” the institute said.
