IIT Delhi launches executive programme on AI in healthcare for working professionals

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has introduced a new executive programme for AI in Healthcare under its Continuing Education Programme. The 24-week online course is open to clinicians, engineers, data professionals and med-tech entrepreneurs, aiming to build skills relevant to AI applications in healthcare delivery, diagnostics, public health and hospital systems.

The programme covers fundamental AI and machine learning concepts and moves on to areas such as natural language processing using electronic health records, deep learning in imaging, healthcare automation, IoT monitoring and analytics in public health.

Participants will work with clinical datasets, hospital data systems and develop AI models for diagnosis, risk scoring, imaging and predictive analytics. The curriculum includes the creation of AI-based dashboards and decision-support tools, with a capstone project guided by IIT Delhi faculty.

Weekend classes for working professionals

As per the institute, the course will be delivered through live, interactive online sessions held on weekends, allowing working professionals to participate. In addition to academic instruction, participants will interact with industry experts, med-tech founders and hospital chief information officers in dedicated sessions focused on real-world deployment strategies and current trends in innovation.
