NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has commenced placements for the academic year 2023-24 from December 1, 2023. The placement season will conclude in the month of May 2024.
The placements are for full time hiring of undergraduate and postgraduate students by national as well as international recruiting organistaions. This year, the recruiting processes are being held both in physical as well as online modes based on the convenience of the recruiter.
As of now, December 1 360+ national and international organisations have registered to hire students, providing 660+ job positions across various sectors.
By the end of December 1, IIT Delhi students had received around 480 full-time employment offers (including pre-placement offers) with approximately 450 unique selections. Many students have received multiple job offers as well.
Speaking about the placement season, R Ayothiraman, professor incharge, Office of Career Services, said, “The Office of Career Services at IIT Delhi is working to maximize placement of the students who avail our services. We have a healthy mix and line up of companies across sectors to cater to the varied needs and aspirations of our student body”.
Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, and Texas Instruments were the top recruiters on day 1 in terms of the number of students offered.
Approximately 25 students have received international job offers from geographies spanning Hong Kong, Japan, Netherlands, Singapore, South Korea, United Kingdom, and United States.
