IIT Delhi Placements 2025: UG students secure record 850 offers and counting

Download NowNEW DELHI: The undergraduate students of Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) have secured around 850 unique job offers till date; highest offers received in the last three years. The institute expects the hiring trends to further improve as the placement season is still ongoing.

IIT Delhi UG students got over 40 international offers from organizations across multiple domains in Japan, the Netherlands, South Korea, Taiwan, the UAE, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
In the last three years, IIT Delhi received 712 offers in 2022, 768 in 2023, and 781 in 2024. However, the number of offers have increased by 12.9% this year with 850 unique job offers and is still counting as the placement season is underway.
Top recruiters offering double-digit salaries for UG students include American Express, Barclays, BCG, BlueStone Jewellery & Lifestyle Private Limited, Deutsche India Pvt. Ltd., Google, Graviton Research Capital, Meesho, Microsoft, Oracle, PayU, Squarepoint Capital, and Texas Instruments.
Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) such as Bharat Petroleum Corp.Ltd., Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Petronet LNG Limited, Indian Oil Corporation of India, and the Centre for Development of Telematics also hired UG students from IIT Delhi in this placement session.
The exit survey conducted by IIT Delhi showed that about 30% of students who graduated in 2024 chose diverse career options. Among them 7% chose self-employment, start-up entrepreneurship, 6% chose higher studies, and a majority of 17% opted for competitive examinations for civil, engineering services, and others. The institute said, “A similar trend is expected among the UG students graduating in 2025”.
