Try NowNEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi will host the 2024 edition of the DD-Robocon at New Delhi's Thyagraj Stadium in association with Prasar Bharati on July 13 and 14, 2024. Over 750 students from more than 45 colleges, institutions, and universities in the country will participate in DD Robocon 2024.

This is a national-level event happening for the last 23 years in the country. DD Robocon India 2024 promotes technical skill development, innovation, and teamwork among engineering students, providing visibility and recognition in the field of robotics.
ABU-Robocon 2024
During Robocon, robots face off in a race against time, striving to conquer complex tasks within precise windows. The winning team from DD Robocon 2024 will represent India at the international Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) Robocon 2024.
The ABU Robocan 2024 will take place in QuangNinh, Vietnam on August 25, 2024. The theme of the ABU-Robocon is “Harvest Day.”
“We would like to thank PrasarBharati for letting IIT Delhi and its knowledge partners, IHFC and FSM, conduct the prestigious competition for the country to identify the winning team to represent India in the ABU-Robocon in Vietnam,” said SK Saha, Professor, IIT Delhi.
Robocon 2024: 69 teams submitted their proposals in first stage
In the first stage of the competition, 69 teams submitted their proposals, specifying the sizes of their tentative robots and their CAD drawings, etc. The quality of the received proposals led to the shortlisting of 66 teams for Stage 1.
In Stage 2, 56 teams submitted videos highlighting their robot subsystems. Ultimately, 46 teams participated in the matches out of the 52 shortlisted to compete in person in New Delhi, while four teams were invited to display their robots as exhibits.
