IIT Guwahati announces GATE 2026 examination schedule for MTech admissions

GATE 2026: The computer-based college entrance test will be conducted in dual shifts. The forenoon session will be held from 9:30 am to 12:30 noon, while the afternoon shift will be from 2:30 to 5:30 pm.

As per the examination schedule, the engineering institute will conduct the computer-based GATE 2026 from February 7 in dual shifts. The forenoon shift will be held from 9:30 am to 12:30 noon, while the afternoon shift will take place from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
Candidates seeking admission to MTech, MS, and PhD programmes through GATE 2026 can access the mock test link through the official portal.

The engineering institute has also hosted the GATE 2026 mock test links. The mock tests help candidates familiarise themselves with the look and feel of the college entrance test.
“The features in the actual GATE 2026 exam may be different from those available in the static mock test links. The mock test is not an indication of the topics from which the questions will appear in the GATE 2026 exam,” as per the official website.
The mock test answer will not be evaluated, and the score cards will not be generated, the institute said. The GATE 2026 question paper will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Multiple Select Question (MSQ), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT).
