IIT Roorkee: A total of 1,267 undergraduates, 847 postgraduates, and 500 PhD scholars will be awarded degrees among them are 602 female graduates.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee will host its 25th Convocation on September 5. IIT Roorkee will award degrees to 2,614 students, comprising 1,267 undergraduates, 847 postgraduates, and 500 PhD scholars, including joint and dual degrees.
Notably, among them are 602 female graduates, including 248 undergraduates, 176 postgraduates, and 178 PhD scholars.
According to the official IIT Roorkee statement, the union minister of state (Independent Charge) of the ministry of science and technology Jitendra Singh; minister of state of the department of space, as the chief guest; Nirmaljeet Singh Kalsi, retired IAS, former chairperson of NCVET, Government of India, and other officials will attend the event.
The chairman of the board of Governors, BVR Mohan Reddy, will also preside over the event, and Pankaj Agarwal, the secretary of ministry of power, government of India, will be the chief guest for the award ceremony scheduled to be held during the second session.

In anticipation of the convocation ceremony, a press conference was held today at the Senate Hall, James Thomson Building at IIT Roorkee. The conference meeting was chaired by the IIT Roorkee director KK Pant, deputy director Udai Pratap Singh, and dean of Academic Affairs NK Navani were present.
During the press conference the director of IIT Roorkee said: “Convocation is the celebration of the hard work and perseverance of our students, and also signifies their transformation into future Entrepreneurs and innovators. We are deeply honoured to welcome union minister Jitendra Singh as the chief guest of the convocation and Nirmaljeet Singh Kalsi as the guest of honour. We are also looking forward to celebrating the award ceremony led by Pankaj Agarwal, the secretary, Ministry of Power. Their presence reflects the spirit of academic excellence, innovation, and national service that IIT Roorkee stands for, and their guidance will inspire our graduating students as they step into a new phase of life.”
Furthermore, during the press conference, the IIT Roorkee director also launched a promotional video for the Convocation, highlighting the event’s details, the achievements of the institute, and the accomplishments of its students.

The NLSIU Bengaluru 33rd annual convocation, scheduled from 11 am to 1 pm at the BASE University Auditorium, will feature TN Ninan, former chairperson and editor of Business Standard, as the chief guest.
