IP University Admissions 2025: Online application begins on February 1; new courses, dates

IP Univeristy Admissions 2025: For vacant seats, admission will be conducted through CUET in 20 undergraduate degree programmes and 18 postgraduate degree programmes.
NEW DELHI : The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) Delhi will commence the admission process for the academic year 2025-26 from February 1, 2025. The university offers over 40,000 seats for various undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programmes in 106 affiliated colleges and 18 university schools.

The classes will begin on February 1, 2025. Candidates will have to pay one-time application fee of Rs 2,500 including registration and counseling participation fee, which has to be submitted along with the application form.
The vice chancellor of the university, Mahesh Verma, released the admission brochure at an event held at the university's East Campus.
According to the official IP statement, the ceiling of the EWS scholarship fund has been increased from 2.5 crore to 3.5 crore, this year onwards, mainly to provide financial assistance to needy students, says the vice chancellor of IP university.
“The university is all set to start an offshore campus in Guyana with support from that government, said the VC.” the official IP University statement said.
A few new courses are included this year such as an MSc in Molecular Diagnostics, an MSc in Microbiology, BPT, three years LLB, PG programme in applied geoinformatics, and a PG Diploma in Radiological Physics.

IP University 2025 seats availability
According to the official IP statement, one seat in each programme will be reserved for single girl child candidates in university schools. A maximum of 2% of the intake in a particular programme will be filled under the sports quota in university schools.
Additionally, over 250 additional seats have been added to various programmes at the university campus, while 1600 new seats were added last year. The university will also start lateral entry admissions for BTech and BPharm programmes of East Delhi Campus.
“Psychology has also been included in the four-year BA in Liberal Arts programme. The intake has increased to 80 now to accommodate more students, says the vice chancellor of the IP University.” the official IP University statement said.
IP University Admissions 2025: Important dates
The online application process will be held for 46 master's degree programs, 40 PhD programmes, and 34 undergraduate degree programs. The classes will commence on August 1, 2025.
As per the official IP statement, a total of 52 common entrance tests (CETs) will be conducted between April 26 and May 18, 2025. The CETs will also be held in other cities of the country for the convenience of applicants.
Also, online counseling for MBA through CAT, LLB, and LLM through CLAT UG, PG will begin on May 1, 2025. Online and offline counseling for other programs will begin on June 2, 2025.
Other entry modes include national-level tests through JEE mains, NEET UG, PG & SS, CAT, CMAT, NIMCET, CLAT-UG & PG, UCEED, NATA, etc. Moreover, admissions to IP University will also be based on merit in the qualifying exams for a few programmes.
For vacant seats, admission will be conducted through CUET in 20 undergraduate degree programmes and 18 postgraduate degree programmes.
IP University Admissions 2025: New modes of admission for programmes
Candidates can check the new modes of admission for various programmes given below.

Post Basic in BSc Nursing : Earlier, only CET was considered. This year, interviews and merit of qualifying exam is included.

BSc MSc Dual Degree in physics, chemistry, mathematics : Previously, the JEE Main score and CUET were considered. This year, CET and merit of the qualifying examination have been included.

MS Packaging Technology : Earlier, only CET and CUET were considered, this year, GATE, UGC-NET, and CSIR-NET have also been included.

BS Packaging Technology : This year, JEE Advanced, JEE Mains, and NEET have also been included, other than CET and CUET.

MTech in Food Processing Technology : Beforehand, only GATE and CET were considered. Now, the merit of the qualifying exam has been included.

MTech in Biotechnology : Only GATE and CET were considered. Now, the merit of the qualifying exam is required.

BSc and MSc in Environmental Science : Earlier, only CUET and merit of qualifying examination were considered. Now, CET has been included.
