IP University opens 2026–27 admissions on February 2 at ipu.admissions.nic.in, announces 24 new courses

IP University admissions to be held through CETs, national exams and CUET as university adds new nine institutes and 24 new courses
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has announced admissions for the academic session 2026–27 with the introduction of 24 new courses across undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. The online application process will begin on February 2, with over 43,000 seats across more than 130 affiliated colleges and university schools on offer.

Admissions will be conducted through university-level entrance tests as well as national examinations such as Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main), National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), Common Aptitude Test (CAT), Common Management Admission Test (CMAT), National Institute of Technology Master of Computer Applications Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) and Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).
Vacant seats in certain programmes, including BTech courses, will also be filled using CUET scores. A one-time application fee of Rs 2,500, covering registration and counselling, will be applicable for all applicants.
The university has also affiliated nine new institutes this year.

Bachelor in Technology (B Tech) in industrial chemistry

Bachelor of Science (BSc) in clinical psychology

BTech in computer science engineering (artificial intelligence & data science)

BTech in computer science & business systems

Programmes in teacher education and inclusive education

BA -B Ed (Special & Inclusive Education – ISITEP) with specialisations in:

The admission process for the new session was formally inaugurated at an event in New Delhi, attended by Delhi’s education minister Ashish Sood and GGSIPU vice-chancellor Mahesh Verma.
Highlighting the university’s growth, the minister said GGSIPU has emerged as a strong model of public education, with more than 230 academic programmes spanning areas such as artificial intelligence, robotics, data science, law, medicine and design. He added that the expansion reflects the university’s broad academic vision and its focus on future-ready education.
