Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) Delhi has introduced a new 2-year postgraduate (PG) programme in Mass Communication in weekend mode. The programme offers 60 seats, and the fee for one year is Rs 95,000.

The programme will be available at the University School of Mass Communication (USMC) located in the East Campus. Candidates can apply for the Mass Communication PG course on the official website, ipu.ac.in, and ipu.admissions.nic.in.
The new ‘weekend-mode’ programme is designed for working professionals willing to pursue Mass Communication while continuing their job. Candidates who have done a diploma in Mass Communication can opt for later entry and complete their PG in one year.
USMC Dean Durgesh Tripathi said that for a long time, working journalists had been requesting to start this program in weekend mode so that they can pursue a degree in Mass Communication while continuing their job.
The eligibility criteria and admission process for the IP University's PG Mass Communication programme are as follows.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates having a bachelor’s degree in any discipline can apply. As per admission criteria, 70% of weightage will be given to marks obtained in the bachelor’s degree, and 30% weightage will be given to marks secured in the interview round.
Admission Process
The programme application process is available on the university’s official website. Candidates will have to fill out the application form along with a bank draft of Rs 2,500 in favor of the University's Registrar, and should be submitted to the University’s facility centre at Dwarka Campus by September 4.
