Jharkhand Board Exam Date 2026: The exam will be conducted using OMR sheets in two shifts, and 15 minutes of extra time will be given to read questions paper.

The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has announced the JAC Jharkhand Board 2026 time table for Class 8th, 9th, and 11th exams. The JAC Class 8 exams 2026 will begin on February 24, followed by Class 11 exams from February 25 and Class 9 exams from February 28, all to be conducted in two shifts.

According to the JAC Board Class 11th timetable 2026, the exams will be held in two shifts each day: Paper I from 10:45 am to 12 pm and 2 pm to 3:15 pm, Paper II from 10:45 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 5:15 pm, and Paper III from 10:45 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 3:15 pm.
For Class 9, Papers 1 and 3 will be conducted from 9:45 am to 1:00 pm, while Paper 2 will be held from 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm.

The JAC Board Class 8 exam 2026 will be held on February 24. Paper 1, covering Hindi, English, and one additional language, will be conducted from 9:45 am to 1 pm, followed by Paper 2, which includes Mathematics, Science, and Social Science, from 2 pm to 5:15 pm.
Candidates will be given 15 minutes of extra time before the start of each examination to read the question paper. The JAC board examination will be conducted in OMR sheet.
“JAC has directed principals to download admit cards as per schedule: February 16, for Class 11, February 14, for Class 8, and February 20, for Class 9, and distribute them to students,” the official JAC notice said.
The online entry of internal assessment marks will be open on the JAC website from March 2 to 14, for Class 11, February 26 to March 10, for Class 8, and March 5 to March 15, for Class 9.
According to the JAC board’s notice, Class 9 and 11 students must take exams in five main subjects, and they must pass in at least four subjects to be declared successful. Each paper will have 40 marks of multiple-choice questions (MCQs), and 10 additional marks will come from an internal assessment conducted by the +2 school or college.
For the JAC Board Class 8 exam, each subject paper will carry 50 marks, and schools will conduct an internal assessment of 100 marks at the institutional level.
