IIT JAM counselling dates 2026 out; register for MSc, PhD admissions from March 27

Download NowThe Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has announced the Joint Admission Test (JAM 2026) counselling dates for MSc and PhD admissions. Eligible candidates can apply for IIT JAM counselling 2026 on the official website, joaps.iitb.ac.in, from March 27 onwards. The round 1 JAM 2026 admission list will be published on May 25.

IIT JAM: Cut Off | Cut off for Top IITs
Admissions to more than 3,000 seats across 105 postgraduate programs at 22 IITs for the 2026-27 academic year will be conducted through IIT JAM counselling 2026.
According to the JAM counselling 2026 official brochure, students who have secured marks greater than or equal to the cut-off marks of their category are eligible to apply for JAM 2026 admissions.
Candidates will be offered admissions to MSc, MSc Tech, Joint MSc - PhD, and MSc - PhD dual degree and integrated PhD programmes through JAM counselling 2026.

JAM Counselling 2026: Application, seat booking fee
Candidates will have to submit a non-refundable application fee of Rs 750 to complete the submission process. Candidates who are offered admission will have to submit a seat booking fee to confirm their seats.

Candidates who are offered a seat must choose one of the three options during each round of JAM counselling 2026 — accept and freeze, accept with upgrade, or reject and quit – on or before the last date for each round of admissions.

IIT Bombay conducted the JAM 2026 exam on February 15 for the seven test papers, including biotechnology (BT), chemistry (CY), economics (EN), geology (GG), mathematics (MA), mathematical statistics (MS), and physics (PH).
