JEE Advanced 2024 Exam Pattern
JEE Advanced 2024 is a computer-based test and consists of two papers. Each paper has a duration of three hours. The first paper will take place from 9 am to 12 pm and the second paper is scheduled from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
Both papers in JEE Advanced 2024 cover the subjects of mathematics, physics, and chemistry. They will include multiple-choice questions, numerical answer type questions, and matching type questions. For multiple-choice questions, candidates must select the correct answer from the given options. For numerical answer type questions, a precise number must be entered. For matching type questions, an item from one list must be matched with an item from another list.
Scoring for the different question types is as follows:
Multiple-choice single correct questions - Four marks for a correct answer and two marks deducted for a wrong answer.
Multiple-choice multiple correct questions - Three marks for a correct answer and one mark deducted for an incorrect answer.
Numerical answer (decimal) type questions - Four marks for a correct answer with no negative marking for a wrong answer.
Matching type questions - Three marks for a correct answer with no negative marking.
Numerical answer paragraph type questions - Three marks for a correct answer with no negative marking.

Candidates can download the admit card for JEE Advanced 2024 at jeeadv.ac.in. The provisional answer key for JEE Advanced 2024 will be released on June 2. The final results will be declared on June 9.
