Download EBookNEW DELHI : The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has announced the Joint Entrance Examination - Advanced (JEE Advanced) 2025 exam date. The entrance exam for admission to the IITs will be held on May 18, 2025. The exam will consist of two papers - paper 1 and paper 2. The duration of JEE Advanced 2025 will be three hours.

The JEE Advanced 2025 exam will be conducted in two sessions. Paper 1 will be held from 9 am to 12 noon and paper 2 will be conducted from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
“The JEE (Advanced) 2025 will be conducted on Sunday, May 18, 2025. The examination will consist of two papers (Paper 1 and Paper 2) of three hours duration each. Appearing in both the papers is compulsory,” reads the latest notice on JEE Advanced 2025 official website.
IIT Kanpur has already released the JEE Advanced syllabus 2025 and will upload the JEE Advanced 2025 information brochure including eligibility criteria, application fee, exam pattern, marking scheme, and other details soon on the official website.
JEE Advanced 2025 eligibility
Recently, the Joint Admission Board (JAB) restored the previous JEE Advanced 2025 eligibility criteria and reduced the number of attempts to two. The board earlier increased the number of attempts to three. However, the JEE Advanced 3rd attempt was dropped after considering the competing requirements.
Candidates who qualify the JEE Main 2025 exam and appear among the top 2,50,000 candidates in the BE, BTech paper will be eligible for the JEE Advanced exam.
