NEW DELHI : The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has announced the registration dates for Joint Entrance Examination - Advanced (JEE Advanced) 2025 exam today, December 21. As per the schedule, the JEE Advanced 2025 registration window will open on April 23 at 10 am. Eligible candidates will be able to fill the JEE Advanced 2025 registration form through the official website, jeeadv.ac.in.

The JEE Advanced 2025 registration link will remain active on the official website till May 2. The last date for JEE Advanced 2025 fee payment of registered candidates is May 5, 2025.
The JEE Advanced 2025 admit cards will be made available to download on from Sunday, May 11, 2025. Candidates will have to use their login credentials such as registration number and date of birth to download the JEE Advanced admit card 2025.
JEE Advanced 2025 exam date
The JEE Advanced 2025 exam will be held on May 18, 2025. The entrance exam for admission to the IITs will consist of two papers - paper 1 and paper 2. The duration of JEE Advanced 2025 will be three hours.
The JEE Advanced 2025 exam will be conducted in two sessions. Paper 1 will be held from 9 am to 12 noon and paper 2 will be conducted from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
“The JEE (Advanced) 2025 will be conducted on Sunday, May 18, 2025. The examination will consist of two papers (Paper 1 and Paper 2) of three hours duration each. Appearing in both the papers is compulsory,” the official notice read.
JEE Advanced 2025 eligibility criteria
Recently, the Joint Admission Board (JAB) restored the previous JEE Advanced 2025 eligibility criteria and reduced the number of attempts to two. The board earlier increased the number of attempts to three. However, the JEE Advanced 3rd attempt was dropped after considering the competing requirements.
A plea has been filed in the Supreme Court for JEE Advanced 3rd attempt and the next hearing has been scheduled for January 6, 2025. 22 candidates have filed the plea against the JAB for changing the number of attempts in the upcoming JEE Advanced exam from two to three, and then back to two.
IIT Kanpur has already released the JEE Advanced syllabus 2025 and has published the JEE Advanced 2025 information brochure including eligibility criteria, application fee, exam pattern, marking scheme on the official website.
Candidates who qualify the JEE Main 2025 exam and appear among the top 2,50,000 candidates in the BE, BTech paper will be eligible for the JEE Advanced exam. Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 2000. Apart from this, five years age relaxation is given to SC, ST, and PwD candidates.
