NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) is expected to announce the Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced 2025) registration date for candidates who qualify the JEE Main 2025 and obtain the top 2.5 lakh rank. As per past trends, the JEE Advanced registration is likely to start from April.

IIT Kanpur has announced the JEE Advanced eligibility criteria for both Indian and foreign nationals and uploaded the syllabus. In a major change, candidates will be able to attempt the JEE Advanced exam 2025 three times from the upcoming academic year. The JEE Advanced official website launched on November 5 said that the notification, schedule and other details “will be uploaded soon” at jeeadv.ac.in.
Candidates should be among the top 2,50,000 candidates in BE, BTech paper 1 of JEE Main 2025, which is also an eligibility test to appear for JEE Advanced. As per the reservation criteria, 10% for General-EWS, 27% for OBC-NCL, 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, and the remaining 40.5% is open for all. “Within each of these five categories, 5% horizontal reservation is available for PwD candidates,” it added.
“The syllabus for JEE Advanced 2025 remains the same as JEE Advanced 2024,” the IIT Kanpur said. Subject-wise syllabus and topics for IIT JEE Advanced 2025 is given in the table below.
