JEE Main 2021: 75% eligibility criteria waived for 2021, says Pokhriyal

Education minister said that considering the decision taken for IIT JEE Advanced, it has been decided to waive off the 75% marks eligibility criteria under JEE Main for the next academic year 2021-22.

In a tweet, the education minister said that considering the decision taken for IIT JEE Advanced, it has been decided to waive off the 75% marks (in class 12 exam) eligibility criteria under Joint Entrance Examination (Main) for the next academic year 2021-2022.
Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal took to Twitter to announce that the candidates no longer need 75% in the Class 12 exam to appear for JEE Main exam.
Considering the decision taken for IIT JEE(Advanced) and in line with the decision taken for the last academic year, it has been decided to waive off the 75% marks (in class 12 exam) eligibility criteria under Joint Entrance Examination (Main) for the next academic year 2021-2022

JEE Main 2021 will be held in four sessions in February, March, April and May 2021. The exam dates of all the sessions are available on the JEE Main 2021 official website- jeemain.nta.nic.in.
The minister had earlier announced that the JEE Advanced will be held on July 3. Furthermore, JEE Advanced 2021 will be conducted by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur and top 2,50,000 JEE Main 2021 rank holders will be eligible for IIT admissions.
