The National Testing Agency will conduct the JEE Main 2024 in two sessions from January 24 to February 1 and April 1 to 15, 2024, respectively. The exam is being held for admission into National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and government-funded technology institutes (GFTIs). Out of the 31 NITs in the country only eight offer BTech in Biotechnology.
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority will hold six rounds of counselling. The JoSAA will release separate merit lists for open, OBC, SC, ST and other categories. It will also release a separate merit list for host state students. Half of the seats are reserved for students of the state in which the NITs are situated. The remaining seats are open for students of other states (OS).
NIT cut-off 2023 (OS)
NIT Warangal had the highest closing rank 31192 for BTech in Metallurgical and Material Engineering while NIT Arunachal Pradesh had the lowest closing rank 54146 for the programme.
