JEE Main 2026: BTech Artificial Intelligence, Data Science cut-offs highest at NIT Warangal

NIT Patna, which offers two programmes in the field, has the lowest cut-offs. Admission is based on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main; the results of the first session of JEE Main 2026 are awaited.

As per data from the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA), which conducts admission counselling based on the JEE Main results, NIT Warangal closed admissions to its BTech Computer Science Engineering – Artificial Intelligence and Data Science programmes at the rank of 2952 in the 2025-2026 academic year but only for the other-state, open, gender neutral-seats. Cut-offs for other categories are higher.

Among all NITs, the closing rank for NIT Patna for BTech-MTech CSE with specialisation in DS (five-year dual degree programme) was the lowest at 17439, whereas, the BTech AI and DS cut-off was at 16537, for the 50% other state seats.

The closing ranks for BTech Data Science, AI-related programmes across NITs for 50% other state, open, and gender neutral category seats are shown in the table below. However, the programme name changes with the institution.
