The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 session 1 from January 21. The exam for Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programmes will be held on January 21, 22, 23, 24, and 28 in two shifts each day. The JEE Main 2026 first shift will be held from 9 am to 12 pm, while the second shift will take place from 3 pm to 6 pm. Candidates going to appear for the exam tomorrow can download the JEE Main admit card 2026 from the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.
The exam timings for JEE Main 2026 session 1, including entry and gate closing times, are provided in the table below. Candidates arriving after this time will not be allowed to enter. NTA has instructed candidates to reach the centres well in advance to complete verification and security procedures.

Candidates appearing for JEE Main 2026 should not to carry certain items inside the exam hall. Only the admit card, a valid photo identity, and the stationery specified by the NTA are allowed. All other electronic devices, personal belongings, and restricted materials must be left outside.
NTA has clarified that calculators and other electronic devices will not be provided or permitted in the exam hall. Candidates should rely on rough work sheets provided at the centre for calculations. Bringing personal calculators may lead to disqualification or denial of entry.
