The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 in West Bengal on January 23 will be rescheduled due to the celebration of Saraswati Puja. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that candidates scheduled to appear for the JEE Main 2026 in West Bengal will be allotted another date from the existing session 1 schedule. The decision follows representations received from candidates regarding the celebration of Saraswati Puja in the state on the same day.
“In view of the representations received from candidates in the state of West Bengal regarding the celebration of Saraswati Puja on 23rd January 2026, it has been decided that all candidates scheduled to appear for JEE (Main) in West Bengal on 23rd January 2026 shall be allotted another date of examination among the advertised dates for JEE (Main) 2026 Session 1 examination,” the NTA posted on X.

The JEE Main 2026 session 1 will be conducted from January 21. The exam for Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programmes is scheduled on January 21, 22, 23, 24, and 28 in two shifts each day.
The first shift will be held from 9 am to 12 pm, while the second shift will take place from 3 pm to 6 pm. The exam for Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) and Bachelor of Planning (BPlan) programmes is scheduled on January 29 in a single shift.
The JEE Main 2026 city intimation slip for the session 1 exam is available on the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The testing agency will issue the JEE Main admit card 2026 two or three days before the exam date. Candidates will have to enter login details such as registration number and password to download the admit card.
