The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has released the first allotment list for MBBS, BDS and BHMS admissions. The seat allotment is conducted based on the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - Under Graduate (NEET UG 2025) scores.
Candidates who have been selected during the JCECEB NEET counselling should download their provisional seat allotment letter from the official website at jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in. For confirmation of admission, students should accept the allocated seat on the portal and visit the allotted institute for document verification by August 24.
Jharkhand NEET seat allotment is done for four institutes offering the Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS), four institutes for Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), and eight universities for Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programmes.

Jharkhand NEET UG Counselling: Seat upgradation
Jharkhand NEET UG counselling will include three regular rounds followed by a stray vacancy round. Candidates who are not satisfied with the seats allocated to them can opt for seat upgradation during the subsequent rounds of counselling. The candidate will be given a higher preference of seat based on their choice-filling. If the seat is not upgraded in the next round of counselling, the current allocation will be retained.
The seat allotment and upgradation is done on the basis of the number of vacancies available and the NEET UG 2025 rank obtained by the candidate. The total number of vacancies in Jharkhand medical colleges is given below.

The Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Ranchi is the first choice of toppers in Jharkhand, while MGM Medical College, Jamshedpur, is the second most preferred college for MBBS admission 2025.
