Jharkhand Schools: All classes from pre-nursery to Class 12 will remain suspended for students during this period, as per the school education and literacy department's official notice.

Jharhand pre-board exams 2026 after assessing weather
About the Jharkhand pre-board exams 2026 planned during the school closure, the department said that school authorities can decide what to do after reviewing the weather situation. The decision to close schools was made after the Meteorological Centre in Ranchi predicted cold wave and “cold day” conditions in many parts of the state for the next two days.
The authorities have also requested parents avoid sending their children out of the house unnecessarily and to take all necessary precautions in view of the intense cold. Earlier, the district administrations of Ranchi and Jamshedpur had already ordered school closure till January 6 due to cold wave conditions.
