JKBOPEE to hold only round 3 for JK NEET PG counselling; ‘all conditions’ of mop-up round withdrawn

The Jammu and Kashmir Board Of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has announced that it will conduct only the third round of JK NEET PG counselling 2025 for admission to MD, MS, diploma courses in government and private medical colleges, following the revised round 3 schedule issued by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

The JKBOPEE said that the J-K NEET PG mop-up round counselling will be held separately, for which a fresh notification will be issued later. In this regard, the guidelines notified for the mop-up round have been withdrawn and will be treated as null and void, the board said.

However, the eligibility criteria set for the selection process will remain the same, it added.

Recently, JKBOPEE announced that it will conduct the third round and mop-up round of physical upgradation and allotment counselling for DNB courses to fill the seats vacant in government medical colleges, associated hospitals, and district hospitals in Jammu and Kashmir.

JK NEET PG round 3 counselling on Feb 4

The J-K NEET PG round 3 physical counselling will be held on February 4, and candidates with ranks 1 to 143, including reserved category candidates, are eligible to participate. The board said that the counselling will be held category-wise and the seats remaining vacant will be converted to open merit, in line with the J-K Reservation Act 2004.

As per the eligibility criteria for the last two rounds, candidates who were allotted seats in the first or second round and joined, those seeking upgradation, candidates not allotted any seats in the previous rounds, and those who failed to participate in the earlier rounds will be eligible for the third and mop-up rounds, which will be conducted in physical mode.

Those applying for the first time will be required to pay a counselling fee of Rs 2,000 at the BOPEE office in Jammu or Srinagar on the day of counselling. They must also carry documents, including domicile certificate, NOC from the health and medical education department, NEET PG scorecard 2025, and MBBS degree or diploma certificate.
