JKCET 2025 special round counselling begins today; apply offline by September 6

JKCET Counselling 2025: Eligible candidates can submit the prescribed form at JKBOPEE offices in Jammu or Srinagar. Candidates who have not paid the counselling fee earlier will have to pay Rs 1,000 through POS terminals at the offices.

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has announced the Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET) 2025 special round counselling. Eligible candidates can apply offline for JKCET 2025 special round counselling from today, September 2. The prescribed format of the special round counselling application form is available on the official website at jkbopee.gov.in.

The board is conducting JKCET special round counselling 2025 to fill vacant seats in government engineering colleges of the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. The last date to submit the JKCET special round counselling form is September 6.

To apply for the JKCET 2025 special round counselling, candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 1,000 through Point of Sale (POS) terminals at the JKBOPEE offices in Srinagar or Jammu. Candidates who have already paid the counselling fee in earlier rounds are not required to pay again for this special round.

The JKCET 2025 application form asks candidates to submit their personal information, academic qualifications, JKCET 2025 scores, and preferred colleges and engineering streams. Required documents include the domicile certificate, Class 12 marks certificate, date of birth certificate, and category certificate, if applicable. Candidates seeking admission upgradation will also have to attach the fee receipt from their current college.

JKCET Special Round Counselling 2025: Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for participation in the JKCET 2025 special round counselling are outlined below.

  • Candidates should have passed the Class 12 or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
  • A minimum of 45% marks, as prescribed by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), is required for Open Merit candidates, including those in the Economically Weaker Section (EWS).
  • Reserved category candidates, including Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes I and II (ST-I/ST-II), Residents of Backward Areas (RBA), Additional Language Certificates (ALC-IB), and Other Backward Classes (OBC), should have secured at least 40% marks.
  • Candidates should be domiciled in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir or the Union Territory of Ladakh.
