JNU E-Prospectus 2026-27: Admissions through NTA CUET, JEE Main scores; dates soon

The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has issued the JNU admissions 2026-27 e-prospectus for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses. JNU UG admissions 2026 to BA (hons) foreign languages, BSc ayurveda biology, and certificate of proficiency (COP) courses will be based on the Common University Entrance Test - Undergraduate (CUET UG 2026).
For JNU UG admissions 2026-27, candidates will have to apply separately after the CUET UG 2026 results are declared. Once the CUET UG admission 2026 dates are announced, candidates will have to register on the JNU portal.
The university announces cut-off scores for each programme based on various factors such as the number of applicants, the availability and past year trends. Candidates will have to participate in the counselling process, followed by document verification and fee payment to confirm their seats.
JNU BTech Admissions 2026-27
JNU admissions to four-year bachelor of technology (BTech) computer science and engineering, and electronics and communication engineering (ECE) will be based on JEE Main scores via Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) and Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling, and for foreign nationals through Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) counselling.
JNU PG Admissions 2026-27: MTech, MSc
JNU PG admissions 2026-27 for MA, MSc, MCA, MPH, MTech, PG diploma and advanced through CUET PG scores 2026. While admission to MTech in CSE and ECE at the School of Engineering will be through centralised counselling.
For JNU admissions 2026 in MSc in biotechnology and MSc in computational biology programmes, the selection will be through the Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology (GAT-B) score.
JNU: MBA Amissions 2026-28
Furthermore, JNU has started accepting applications for MBA programmes for the academic year 2026-28. JNU’S MBA registration window will remain open until March 31. The application fee for General, EWS, and OBC candidates is Rs 2,000. Candidates belonging to SC, ST and disabled candidates have to submit Rs 1,000 as an application fee.
Students will be shortlisted based on their CAT score, which accounts for 70% of the total weight. Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) will contribute 10% and 20% respectively.

Foreign nationals willing to be admitted to JNU can download the JNU application form on the official website, or at jnu.ac.in/Admission/International and send the application form along with all required documents, through post or Email at:

The registration process has already begun for foreign nationals and will close on April 30.
