JNVST Class 9, 11 notification 2026 out; lateral entry selection test on February 7

JNS Admissions 2026: The last date to submit the JNVST Class 9, 11 application is September 23.
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNV) has released the JNV Selection Test 2026 notification for Class 9, 11 academic year 2026-27. JNV lateral entry selection test will be held on February 7 for both Classes 9 and 11. The last date to submit the JNVST Class 9, 11 application is September 23.
Eligible students can apply for JNVST Class 9 and 11 admission on the official website, navodaya.gov.in. Students will be offered admissions based on the selection test.
For application submission, students should have their signature, parents’ signature, Adhaar card details, and a photograph in the required format.
There’s no negative marking in the JNV selection test for both Classes 9 and 11. As per the JNV notification, the admissions to Class 9 and 11 will be solely based on the vacant seats for the academic year 2026-27.

JNVST Class 9 Exam Pattern 2026
The selection test will be held for 2 hours and 30 minutes without any break. Students will have to score minimum qualifying marks in all four subjects, as per the qualifying criteria. The composition of the Class 9 JNV selection test is given below.

JNVST Class 11 Exam Pattern 2026
Students will be given 30 minutes for each section. The exam duration is 2 hours and 30 minutes. The exam pattern for JNVST Class 11 is shown below.
