JNVST Class 6 Admission 2026: Registration deadline extended till August 27; apply at cbseitms.rcil.gov.in

The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has extended the registration deadline for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) Class 6 admissions 2026. Eligible candidates can complete the JNVST Class 6 application process 2026 till August 27 through the official website, cbseitms.rcil.gov.in.

Initially, the last date for JNVST 2026 Class 6 registration was July 29, which was later extended to August 13. Candidate will be eligible for admission only if born between May 1, 2014, and July 31, 2016, including both dates. Candidates who have already passed or studied Class 5 in any previous academic session will not be permitted to apply or appear for the selection test under any circumstances.

The JNVST Class 6 selection test 2025 will be held in two phases — Phase 1 on December 13, 2025, and Phase 2 on April 11, 2026. Admit cards for both phases will be issued online prior to the exam dates. Candidates will be selected based on performance in the test, which assesses mental ability, arithmetic, and language skills. The results are expected to be announced in June 2026 on the official portal.

During the registration process, candidates must upload the required documents in the specified format and size. These include the student’s photograph, student’s signature, and parent’s signature in JPG or JPEG format, each between 10–100 KB. The JNVST 2026 certificate must be uploaded in JPG or JPEG format with a file size between 50–300 KB.
