K J Somaiya College of Nursing has launched a certificate programme in healthcare OPD coordination, in collaboration with the K J Somaiya Institute of Management. The programme is specifically designed for the P D Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai. Participants will be nominated by the hospital itself.

The K J Somaiya certificate programme focusses on improving the outpatient department (OPD) with patient experience, staff coordination and service delivery through personnel training. The course is rooted in “outcome-based learning” and “system-level thinking” for healthcare operations to develop a workforce which can manage clinic flow, assist physicians, and deliver efficient care, as per an official statement.

Graduates with a background in science or allied fields are eligible to apply for the certificate course. The current batch of the programme commenced in July 2025. Students will receive joint certification from the Somaiya College of Nursing as well as the Somaiya Institute of Management upon successful completion.
