Karnataka NEET UG 2025 Counselling: KEA opens seat cancellation for candidates holding AIQ seats

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has opened the window for candidates of the Karnataka National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2025 counselling to give up their KEA seat through the QUIT Portal.

As per the official notice, candidates who have secured seats under both KEA and the All India quota and want to continue in the All India quota can give up their seat by today, from 11 am to 5 pm.

Candidates who had already reported to colleges in the first round but want to cancel their seats will have to personally visit the authority with the required documents before 5 pm on the same day.

The Karnataka NEET UG round 2 final seat allotment for medical and dental courses and the third round for AYUSH courses will be published on September 23, 2025. Candidates allotted a seat will have to pay the course fee and download the confirmation slip between September 23 and 26, 2025.

Candidates will also have to report to their allotted colleges by 5:30 pm on September 28, 2025, for document verification and further admission process. Fees or caution deposits paid in earlier rounds will be adjusted in the current round upon seat selection.

The authority has also instructed all participating colleges to treat Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays as working days to accommodate the limited time available in the counselling schedule. “All participating institutions/colleges are instructed to consider Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays as working days to accommodate the limited time available in the counselling schedule,” it said.
