Kotak Education Foundation announces 1,000 scholarships for Class 11,12 students in Mumbai

NEW DELHI: Kotak Education Foundation (KEF), the corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm of the Kotak Mahindra Group, has announced 1,000 scholarships through the Kotak Junior Scholarship program. The Kotak scholarships aim to assist academically exceptional students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.in pursuing further education after completing their Class 10th.

Jayasree Ramesh, Executive Committee Member (EC) and director of education programme and scholarship, Kotak Education Foundation said, “At Kotak Education Foundation, we are committed to provide opportunity, access to quality education empowering students and youth over the past 17 years. KEF has a legacy and expertise in offering scholarships for students from underserved communities. With the Kotak Junior Scholarship, we are focused towards a concrete student engagement plan to develop strong and qualified professionals, thereby helping their families rise above poverty.”

Kotak Junior Scholarship Programme: Benefits

According to the official press release, the Kotak Junior Scholarship program will offer the following benefits:

  • A monthly scholarship of INR 3,500 throughout Class 11 and Class 12, totaling INR 73,500 for 21 months.
  • Mentorship support to assist students in navigating their educational journey.
  • Academic aid to enhance student performance in studies.
  • Career counseling to aid students in making well-informed decisions about their future paths.
  • Exposure visits to broaden students' perspectives and enrich their learning experiences.

Kotak Junior Scholarship: Eligibility

Students can have a look at the Kotak Junior Scholarship eligibility criteria below.

  • Students are required to obtain a score of over 85% in the SSC, CBSE, ICSE examination and have secured admission to Class 11 in Mumbai schools.
  • Family income of the student is below Rs. 3,20,000 per annum.
  • The students are residing within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).
