LIC AAO, AE Recruitment 2025: Registration begins for 841 posts; prelims exam on October 3

Subscribe NowLife Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has published the LIC AAO, AE recruitment notification for 2025 for a total of 841 posts, including 81 Assistant Engineers (AE), 410 Assistant Administrative Officer (AOO) Specialist, and 350 AAO Generalist.
Eligible candidates can apply for various posts at LIC through the official website at licindia.in till September 8.
The preliminary examination for LIC recruitment is scheduled to be conducted on October 3, and the mains will take place tentatively on November 8, 2025. Candidates will be able to download the LIC AAO admit card seven days before the prelims exam, tentatively on September 26.
Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disability (PwD) category candidates should have to pay Rs 85, exclusive of GST and other charges as registration fee.
The application fee for general and other category applicants is Rs 700 plus transaction and GST charges.
As per the selection process, candidates applying for AAO positions will be selected through a three-tiered process, which includes preliminary, mains and interview rounds. Followed by a medical examination.
"English language test will be of qualifying nature and the marks thereof will not be counted for ranking. Candidates, approximately 20 times of number of vacancies in each category, subject to availability, will be shortlisted for Main examination," the official notification reads.
Notably, the marks obtained in the pre exams will not be added for preparing the final merit list.
LIC Recruitment 2025: Will there be negative marking?
As per the exam pattern, no there will not be negative marking for wrong answers. Both the prelims and the mains exams will be conducted in English and Hindi mediums.
The computer-based prelims examination will be held in three sections and candidates have to qualify in each of them to be able to clear the round 1 recruitment process. Candidates can check the total number of questions, maximum, qualifying marks-category-wise and duration of each section from the table given below

LIC Recruitment Mains: Exam pattern, qualifying marks
The second phase of selection process for the LIC recruitment is the mains exam, which will consists of an objective tests for 300 marks and descriptive for 25 marks.
