Maharashtra HSC Result 2026: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) declared the Maharashtra Class 12 results 2026 today, May 2. The Maha Class 12 result link has been activated on the official website at mahresult.nic.in.
This year, around 14.44 lakh students had registered for the exam, out of which 14.33 lakh students appeared, and 12.86 lakh students passed, recording an overall pass percentage of 89.79%.
Among regular students, girls performed better than boys. The Maharashtra HSC pass percentage of girls is 93.15%, while that of boys recorded 86.80%.
Stream-wise Maharashtra Board HSC results show that the Science stream recorded the highest pass percentage at 96.44%, followed by Commerce (87.03%), ITI (81.78%), Vocational courses (82.74%), and Arts (78.02%).
Region-wise performance indicates that the Konkan division topped with 94.14% pass rate, while the Latur division recorded the lowest at 84.14%. Private candidates recorded a pass percentage of 80.21%, while repeaters stood at 36.44%.
To check the 12th HSC result 2026, students need to enter the details, including their valid seat number and mother's first name. The MSBSHSE held the Class 12 board examinations 2026 from February 11 to March 11 across 3,387 centres statewide, with more than 14 lakh students appearing this year.
Students must secure a minimum of 35% marks in each subject to pass the Maharashtra Board 12th exam 2026. This includes meeting the required minimum in both theory and practical components separately (where applicable), along with the overall aggregate criteria.

Around 2,000 metric tonnes of paper were used for conducting the Maharashtra HSC 2026 examination. The board used a digital safe system for the transportation and handling of question papers to ensure security. For the first time, marksheets and certificates will be made available to students within 15 days of the result declaration, whereas earlier it used to take around six months. This year, the names on marksheets will follow the Aadhaar format, meaning the first name will be used first, unlike the earlier practice in Maharashtra, where surnames were placed first.

The Maharashtra Board has announced that the re-evaluation process for the HSC 12th result 2026 will begin from tomorrow, May 3. Students who are not satisfied with their marks can apply for rechecking and re-evaluation of their answer sheets through the official website by May 17. Candidates will first need to apply for photocopies of their answer sheets and then submit the re-evaluation request online within the given time period.
