Around 14.44 lakh students registered for the Maharashtra HSC 2026 exam, out of which 14.33 lakh appeared and 12.86 lakh passed, recording an overall pass percentage of 89.79%.
Girls performed better than boys, with a pass percentage of 93.15% compared to 86.80% for boys.
The Science stream recorded the highest pass percentage at 96.44%, followed by Commerce at 87.03%, Vocational courses at 82.74%, ITI at 81.78%, and Arts at 78.02%.
Region-wise, the Konkan division topped with 94.14% while the Latur division recorded the lowest at 84.14%. A total of 26 out of 153 subjects recorded a 100% pass result.
Private candidates recorded a pass percentage of 80.21%, while repeaters stood at 36.44%.
