The Maharashtra NEET counselling 2025 round 1 college reporting will begin on August 14 till August 22.
Candidates who will be allotted a seat have to report to the college along with their NEET allotment letter, complete the document verification process, and pay the admission fee during the reporting period.
Candidates will be allotted seats in the Maharashtra NEET counselling 2025 round 1 based on the choices filled, NEET result scores, state merit rank, eligibility, reservation criteria, seat offered, and other factors. A total of 60,021 candidates were selected during Maharashtra NEET counselling 2025 for MBBS and BDS admissions under group A.
Furthermore, the Maharashtra fee regulator has reduced the MBBS fee at the state’s most expensive college, Vedantaa Institute of Medical Sciences, Dahanu, Palghar, to Rs 15,57,000 from Rs 17,03,000. The fee regulator authority fixed the MBBS fees for 11 out of 24 private medical colleges in the state.
Candidates who have been allotted seats in round 1 Maharashtra NEET counselling may have to choose from four scenarios given below.
Situation 1: If candidates are satisfied with their seats, they have to download their admission letter and report to the allotted college. Additionally, candidates must submit a status retention form before the deadline set by the State CET Cell.
Situation 2: Candidates not satisfied with their seats can choose to upgrade their seats for the next round of counselling. If their seat is upgraded in the round 2 admissions, the last allocated seats will be cancelled.
Situation 3: Candidates who do not want to join the allotted seat in the first round of counselling, or if they want to cancel their MBBS seats, will not be eligible for the CAP round or the mop-up round of Maharashtra NEET UG counselling.
Situation 4: Candidates can also choose not to accept the Maharashtra NEET UG seat offered or participate in subsequent rounds of counselling.
