The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will open the registration window for 12.36 lakh candidates who qualified the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG 2025). The NEET UG counselling 2025 will be conducted for admission to 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats for MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing, and AYUSH courses.

The application form for the MCC NEET UG counselling 2025 will be available on the official website, mcc.nic.in. The tentative seat matrix, list of participating institutions, and NEET UG counselling 2025 brochure will be uploaded soon on the portal.

A total of 1,18,190 MBBS seats are available in India, according to the data shared by the ministry of health and family welfare in April 2025. Of which, 1,15,250 MBBS seats have been filled through NEET UG counselling 2024-25 last year.

This year, the 12.36 lakh NEET qualified candidates will compete for just 1.18 lakh MBBS seats. Only 1 in 10 will be successful in getting a MBBS seat through the counselling process.

NEET UG Counselling 2025: Registration explained

NEET counselling registration – Candidates should use the same e-mail address and mobile number submitted during the NTA application process for NEET UG 2025. After the MCC NEET UG counselling registration begins, candidates will be given time till 12 noon on July 28 to register.

NEET counselling fees - Payment of non-refundable registration fee and refundable security deposit should be made during the registration. For admission to 15% AIQ quota, central universities, candidates belonging to general and EWS categories will have to pay Rs 1,000 and SC, ST, OBC, and PwD candidates will have to pay Rs 500.

The refundable security deposit amount for UR and EWS candidates is Rs 10,000 and other category candidates will have to pay Rs 5,000. For deemed universities, the registration fee is Rs 5,000. Applicants will also have to pay Rs 2 lakh refundable security deposit at the time of registration.

NEET UG choice filling - The MCC will open the online facility to fill choices of courses and colleges from July 22 to 28. Candidates are required to submit their choice of medical courses and the desired colleges in the order of preference. The choice locking facility will be opened from 4 pm on July 28 and will be available till 11.55 pm on the same day.

NEET UG round 1 seat allotment 2025 - Based on the choices filled by candidates, the MCC will announce the first seat allotment results 2025 on July 31.
