Check NowNEW DELHI: The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (CET) cell has issued a list of documents required for admission to first and second year of various programmes through MHT CET 2024. The registration for the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) 2024 will begin soon for engineering, pharmacy, architecture, MBA, hotel management, and other programmes on the official website, cetcell.mahacet.org.

“The aspirants are hereby informed to obtain the following certificates from the competent authorities and keep them ready in the necessary cases mentioned in the admission rules of the respective courses while applying for the same,” said CET cell in an official notice.
The cell advised students to obtain original certificates from the competent authorities and warned of cancellation of admission and criminal cases for submission of fake certificates.
“During the academic year 2016-17, it was found after verification that some candidates submitted fake certificates like Caste / Tribe Certificates / Caste Validity Certificates / Disability Certificate / Non Creamy Layer Certificates during the admission process without obtaining them from the competent authorities. The admission of the candidates has been canceled and criminal cases have been registered against them,” it added.
Maharashtra CAP 2024: List of documents required
The following documents issued by competent authority in Maharashtra in prescribed form will be required at the time of registration for CAP 2024 process:
- Caste or tribe certificate
- Caste or tribe validity certificate
- Non-Creamy layer certificate valid till March 31, 2025 for all backward class candidates other than Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes. Even if the domicile of the backward class candidates outside the state is in the state of Maharashtra, the policy of reservation for admission to professional courses in the state of Maharashtra is not applicable to them.
- Nationality certificate and domicile certificate
- Income certificate for candidates seeking admission under TFWS scheme.
- EWS certificate
- PwD certificate
- Certificate for the admission of candidates seeking admission from the defense cadre.
- Aadhaar number and attached bank account for scholarship, fee reimbursement etc.
- Experience certificate and no-obligation certificate for working professionals. For candidates seeking admission under the working professionals scheme, experience certificate of one year working regularly in a registered industry / establishment (central, state, or private) / public limited company / MSME. Non-cancellation certificate of the concerned establishment for admission.
