The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has released the MHT CET final merit list 2026 for admissions in first-year BE and BTech programmes through Centralised Admission Process (CAP). Those who completed registration, document verification process can now check their final merit status, as well as state rank, or All India Rank (AIR) by logging in to official CAP portal. • On the homepage, click on the MHT CET 2026 Admission Portal link
• Navigate to the "Notifications" section
• Click on the MHT CET Final Merit List 2026 PDF link
• The final merit list PDF will open on the screen
• Check your name, application number, and merit rank carefully
• Download and save the PDF for future references

Details to check in MHT CET final merit list

Candidates should carefully verify all the details mentioned in the MHT CET Final Merit List 2026 after downloading it. These include the merit rank number, candidate's name, application number, reservation category, exam name, overall percentile score, and subject-wise percentile scores. They should also check their Class 12 PCM aggregate and subject-wise marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, along with the overall Class 10 percentage and subject-wise marks in Mathematics, Science, and English. Additionally, candidates should ensure that their PwD, EWS, TFWS, orphan, and minority status, wherever applicable, have been correctly reflected in the final merit list. Any discrepancy should be brought to the notice of the authorities as per the counselling guidelines.

CAP Round 1

Candidates whose names appear in the final merit list become eligible for Centralised Admission Process (CAP) Round 1. They fill the form by selecting their preferred engineering colleges and courses in the order of priority.

Once the option entry window closes, the CET Cell processes the submitted preferences and publishes the CAP Round 1 provisional seat allotment result. Seats are allotted based on the candidate's merit rank, reservation category, preferences filled in the option form, and seat availability. Candidates who receive a seat must either accept the allotment and report to the allotted institute with the required documents and admission fee. Candidates can also opt to participate in subsequent CAP rounds for a higher-preference seat.
