MP NEET UG 2025: DME issues counselling guidelines, scholarship details; list of 43 govt, private colleges

Check NowThe Department of Public Health and Medical Education, Madhya Pradesh has issued a series of detailed instructions for the MP NEET UG counselling 2025, including scholarship details for OBC, EWS, SC, and ST students, and list of participating government and private colleges.
The counselling committee has also answered the frequently asked questions (FAQs) about MP NEET UG counselling 2025 for admission to MBBS, BDS, and allied courses. The clarification on revised scholarship guidelines and application process comes a day after the registration for MP NEET counselling began .
As per the schedule, the application process for admission to MBBS, BDS and other courses in Madhya Pradesh medical colleges will be open until July 29. The MP state merit list for NEET UG will be published on July 30.
DME MP issued NEET UG counselling guidelines
The Department of Public Health and Medical Education has notified guidelines for admission to medical courses in government, private medical and dental colleges for the academic session 2025-26.
- To avoid fraudulent activities, all applicants have been advised not to share their credentials such as registered mobile number, email address, roll number, NEET application number, bank account details.
- To avoid admission related fraud, candidates have been advised not to fall into the trap of any broker or counselor. The seat allocation for government and private medical colleges is done solely online and transparently by the state counselling committee.
- Seat allocation is done based only on the choices filled by the candidates and MP NEET UG merit list 2025.

MP MBBS Scholarships 2025: Revised guidelines
The category-wise scholarship details for students enrolled in undergraduate medical courses in Madhya Pradesh is given below.
OBC MBBS scholarship: The officials clarified the 15% cut in the post-matric scholarship for backward classes in MBBS courses. As per the scheme, full tuition fee will be paid to the backward classes students who have taken admission in MBBS course on the basis of their NEET UG rank. However, as per the fee fixed by the MP Private University Fee Regulatory Commission, 85% of the total is academic fee and the remaining 15% is development fee. Hence, the 15% cut in the tuition scholarship.
EWS scholarship: To claim 10% EWS reservation in government medical colleges, candidates should submit their family income and asset certificate. The family annual income limit, including salary, agriculture, and business etc, should not exceed Rs 8 lakh.
- Those who own more than 5 acres of agricultural land — excluding land recorded as barren, rocky, or uncultivable for 3 consecutive years — will not be eligible for the scholarship.
- Individuals or families owning a residential flat/house in an urban area exceeding: 1,200 sq. ft. in municipal corporation areas; 1,500 sq. ft. in municipal council areas; and 1,800 sq. ft. in Nagar Parishad (Town Council) areas will not be eligible.
SC, ST scholarships: As per the revised guidelines, the annual income limit for post-matric scholarships for SC and ST students is Rs 8 lakh. The revised cap on income limit is applicable for students studying in private educational institutions. There is no income limit for SC students who are studying in government or government-aided institutions.

Madhya Pradesh government, private medical colleges
Madhya Pradesh is home to 43 medical and dental colleges, of which, 18 are government medical colleges and the remaining 25 are private medical colleges. Among these 45 colleges, only 14 offer BDS or dental courses.
